Direct hire opportunity - Salary range 75 to 80,000.00 annual
This role is responsible for the administration, management and implementation of all health and welfare benefits, wellness programs, the 401K plan and workers’ compensation.
Oversees the medical, dental, vision, life/disability, COBRA and HSA plans. Assists employees and their families in navigating through complex insurance questions.
Ability to oversee complex leave of absence administration and hold external vendors accountable for meeting deadlines for compliance purposes.
Conducts the benefits portion of new employee orientation and facilitates employees enrollment process, from the inception of employment, during open enrollment and during offboarding.
Partners with the VP of HR to identify creative ways to offer competitive benefits to employees to balance choice, competitive pricing and offerings, economic conditions, and formulating cost-sharing strategies that meet both short- and long-term objectives.
Manages benefit integration during merger and acquisition activities.
Ensures compliance of benefit, retirement, employee ownership, stock, profit sharing programs (if applicable) in accordance with regulatory and legislative requirements such as ERISA, HIPAA, ACA, COBRA and other agencies. Coordinates preparation of filings with federal and state agencies, including IRS, DOL and others as necessary.
Proactively reviews trends and partners with the VP of HR and benefit brokers to implement strategies for implementation strategies.
Experience and Competencies:
Bachelor’s or master’s degree required in a related field or equivalent work experience
3-5 years in a healthcare setting preferred
Exceptionally detailed, deadline oriented and must multi-task to juggle competing priorities
Customer service orientation, maintains calm demeanor under pressure
