HR Business Partner

This highly motivated individual will be responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management in designated business units. The position formulates partnerships across HR disciplines ensuring delivery of value-added service to  employees that support and advance the business objectives of the organization. The incumbent will provide primary support in the HR disciplines of Recruitment, Employee Relations and Compensation.

What You Will Do:

  • Oversee the entire recruitment cycle from sourcing to onboarding.
  • Management/facilitation of the recruitment process to fill positions in an efficient timely manner. Ensures consistent, clear, concise communication with  leadership occurs regularly. Meets with leadership team to fully understand skills and competencies required.
  • Oversight of  New Employee Orientation. This includes scheduling, preparation, coordination of speakers, maintenance/revisions of the program as needed.
  • Primary liaison for benefits. Will work closely with employees and third-party administrators to ensure employees claims are adjudicated correctly.  Will ensure all employees receive excellent customer service and are contacted to discuss their concerns within 24 hours of contacting HR. Primary responsibility for open enrollment. Assists with COBRA administration by notifying eligible persons, communicating with third party administrator to enroll eligible participants.
  • Oversight and administration of leave of absence program in relation to leaves and accommodations arising under the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), state and local leave laws and company policies.
  • Compiles or assists with the acquisition of complex data reports, summaries, and logs for senior executives and HR staff.
  • Ensure employee records are updated/maintained in a timely manner to ensure accuracy
  • Assist in other HR disciplines as required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • Professional HR certification preferred (SHRM, HRCI)

  • 3+ years’ experience in human resources
  • Experience in managing benefits programs: health and life insurance, short/ long term disability, federal and state regulations, filing and compliance requirements affecting employee benefits programs, including ACA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, Section 125, Medicare, and Social Security and DOL requirements
  • Previous experience working with payroll/HRIS systems
  • Healthcare industry experience preferred
  • Strong written/verbal communication skills
