Procurement & Logistics Manager

(Technical) Procurement & Logistics Manager

 

You will

  • Build relationships with a network of international first-class suppliers with whom we can maintain long-term relationships.
  • Streamline the internal process to get from sold products to fabricated goods from our suppliers.
  • Keep tight control of the deadlines of product (parts) ordered. This means frequent (telephone) contact with international suppliers and customers.
  • Communicate and liaise with the Project Engineers in the Netherlands for the best possible products.
  • Be requesting quotes and sources, liaise, and negotiate with new and existing suppliers to improve pricing and payment terms.
  • Prepare purchase orders/contracts.
  • Handle project budgets between approx. $100K and $3 mln. per project.
  • Prepare all shipping documents and arrange all (international) shipments.
  • Create Bill of Material spreadsheets for each of our projects.
  • Responsible for reviewing, approving, and coding invoices for payment.
  • Be based at our office location in Scottsdale (AZ).

 

You are

  • Capable of reading and understanding the (differences) in the various proposals that you will be receiving and making a sound decision based on price, delivery time, and quality.
  • Familiar with Incoterms (the International Standard for Shipping).
  • Capable to work both independently and as part of a collaborative (international) project team.
  • Willing to undertake some travel.

You’ll bring

  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in both Procurement and Logistics.
  • Technical skills to the table to be able to evaluate and assess proposals, products and read drawings. Major components exist of FRP Tanks, electrical control panels, instruments, blowers, pumps, valves, etc.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated success in negotiating with vendors.
  • A positive attitude, with commercial acumen. We expect you to be critical and challenge the status quo in your pursuit of excellence.
